Abigayle Mixon

Being the daughter of NRHA profession Don Boyd, Abby grew up in the Reining horse world. She started showing at the age of 8 in the Youth Reining and made the Top Ten in the Youth 13 and Under and the 14-18 in the NRHA World Standings multiple times. At age 15, she got her first Futurity horse and won the 2001 Congress Non-Pro and Limited Non-Pro Futurity. She also won Multiple Futurities and Derbies as a Non-Pro and became the Novice Horse Non-Pro Reserve World Champion in 2003. In 2005, she turned in her Non-Pro card and became a Professional Trainer. From 2005-2007, she worked for Million Dollar Rider Craig Schmersal and in 2007, she worked for Duane Hicks where she guided Spooks Gotta Gun to the 2007 APHA Jr Reining World Championship. Abby has acquired LTE of $237,000, and has been a multiple Futurity and Derby Finalist. In 2008, Abby began working for Jon and Norma Sather with her husband Jeff and has been there since 2008.
