The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) proudly recognizes Platinum Vintage as the association’s newest Million Dollar Sire after his offspring surpassed $1 million in NRHA lifetime earnings during the 2026 6666 NRHA Derby® presented by Markel.
The 2010 stallion, owned by Silver Spurs Equine and bred and nominated by Petra Zeitler, reached the milestone as offspring continued to add to their impressive earnings on reining’s biggest stages. By A Sparkling Vintage and out of Starjac Miss, Platinum Vintage enjoyed a successful show career of his own, earning $314,909 in NRHA competition before proving equally impactful in the breeding barn.
His own career was highlighted by victories and podium finishes at some of the sport’s most prestigious events, including the 2015 NRHA Derby® Championship, the 2016 High Roller Reining Classic Derby Championship, the 2016 Cactus Classic Derby Championship, third-place finishes at the 2016 National Reining Breeders Classic Open and the 2019 The Run For A Million Reining Invitational Open.
The milestone was officially secured thanks in part to Pale Face Vintage, whose performance with Wyatt Deary at the 2026 6666 NRHA Derby® presented by Markel added more than $13,000 to the horse’s lifetime earnings and pushed Platinum Vintage beyond the $1 million mark.
Pale Face Vintage, out of Chic Out My Gold, is owned by Jody Puno and Puno Performance Horses, LLC, bred by Cowan-Schmersal Partners, and nominated by Sandra Bentien. The standout performer has now amassed $125,030 in NRHA lifetime earnings.
