Clear your calendar for Saturday, August 22. Reining is taking center stage on national television — twice in one day.
And if there was ever a day for the reining community to tune in, this is it.

The day begins at 10:30 a.m. ET on FS1 with Wild World of Western Sports, featuring the World Reining Continental Championship from BO Ranch. The episode gives a national audience another look inside our sport and the horses, athletes and competition that make reining unlike anything else.
Then, Saturday night, all eyes turn to CBS.
At 7 p.m. ET, The Run For A Million airs on CBS, bringing one of the most historic nights in recent reining history to a national broadcast audience.

Fans packed the stands in Las Vegas as the sport’s best pushed the limits of what we have come to expect in the show pen. The night culminated with Kole Price and Golden Coins marking a 237.5 — the highest marked go in NRHA history — and earning the $500,000 championship.
It was a performance for the record books, but it was also part of a much bigger story.
The level of competition in reining has never been higher. The horses are extraordinary. The scores continue to climb. The crowds are growing. And this Saturday, we have an opportunity to put all of it in front of a national television audience.

National broadcast opportunities like these matter. Strong viewership demonstrates the audience behind reining and helps create opportunities to put our sport, our horses and our athletes in front of even more people.
So set the DVR, invite some friends over and, most importantly, tune in.
