NRHA Confirms: World Title Program and Year-End Awards Will Proceed Unchanged

The NRHA Executive Committee has confirmed that the postponement of the ancillary slate at the NRHA Futurity® & Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show will not affect the NRHA World Title race or the naming of World Champions and Top 10 year-end award recipients across 17 classes.

This immediate decision ensures certainty, fairness, and stability for all members competing for year-end honors and follows current rules.

A Rule Structure Designed to Protect Members

Under NRHA rules, earnings may only be counted from events held between January 1 and December 31 of the competition year. Earnings from postponed or canceled events cannot be counted—an important safeguard that applies uniformly to all NRHA-approved events around the world.

Because these rules are consistent and transparent, members can trust that:

  • Standings remain stable and predictable, even when unforeseen circumstances arise.
  • No competitor gains or loses advantage due to schedule changes beyond their control.
  • Year-end titles retain their integrity, honoring the full season of effort and achievement.

Commitment to Rescheduling the Adequan NAAC Championships

“We have looked forward all year to crowning new Adequan North American Champions, so we are working diligently to reschedule the postponed championships. Several options are being reviewed now, and we hope to have more details to share soon,” noted NRHA Commissioner Billy Smith.

Rescheduling ensures that members still receive the competitive opportunity and recognition associated with these prestigious championship classes.

Opportunities Still Available for Top 10 Standings

Three Top 10-eligible events remain on the calendar this year—in Idaho, Italy, and Belgium—providing members with additional chances to add earnings before December 31.

Members can visit ReinerSuite for a full listing of NRHA-approved events and to verify which shows count toward Top 10 standings.
