The National Reining Horse Association is proud to announce that Stop Little Sister, a 2011 mare by Magnum Chic Dream and out of Best Stop, has become the association’s newest Million Dollar Dam. She reached this milestone when Get Groovy, owned by Toyon Ranch and ridden by Luca Fappani, tied for the reserve championship in the Level 4 Open Futurity at The Challenge.

Owned by JBJ Ranch USA LLC and bred and nominated by Wagman Ranch, Stop Little Sister has quickly proven herself as one of the most influential broodmares in the modern era of reining. Her foals have excelled at the highest levels of NRHA competition, carrying her name into the winner’s circle across futurities, derbies, and major show arenas.
Her most notable performer is Gunna Stop (Gunnatrashya x Stop Little Sister), owned by Amber Gokey, the 2021 Run For A Million Champion, whose lifetime earnings of $672,762.37 rank him among the top money earners in the sport. Other standout offspring, all bred by Toyon Ranch LLC, include:
- Stopping In Jersey (Yellow Jersey x Stop Little Sister), owned by Bosque Ranch Performance Horses LLC – LTE $149,318.34
- Gunna Run N Slide (Gunnatrashya x Stop Little Sister), owned by Tim J. Anderson – LTE $97,834.78
- Mobstop (HF Mobster x Stop Little Sister), owned by Shenandoah Ranch – LTE $39,087.74
- Stop N Look (Gunnatrashya x Stop Little Sister), owned by Coma Ranch LLC – LTE $12,344.62
With this achievement, Stop Little Sister joins a select group of mares whose progeny have surpassed the million-dollar mark in NRHA competition, further cementing her reputation as a cornerstone dam in reining history.
