The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) proudly welcomes Peter and Courtney Morgan to an elite group of reining’s most successful supporters as the Association’s newest NRHA Million Dollar Owners.
The Morgans officially surpassed $1 million in NRHA owner earnings during the 2026 All American Quarter Horse Congress, adding another milestone to a program that has enjoyed success at some of reining’s biggest events.

At the center of that success is The Firemen (Inferno Sixty Six x Redhot Walla), bred and nominated by Tamarack Ranch LLC. With $518,481 in NRHA Lifetime Earnings (LTE), the stallion accounts for more than half of the Morgans’ million-dollar total.
The Firemen delivered his defining performance at the 2024 NRHA Futurity®, where Kaci O’Rourke piloted him to both the Level 4 and Level 3 Open Futurity Championships and $420,000 in earnings. The victory was a career-defining moment for both horse and rider, and The Firemen has continued adding to his record in the seasons since.
In 2025, he placed third in the 100X Reining Classic 4-Year-Old Stakes Level 4 Open for $19,402 and sixth in the NRHA Level 4 Open Derby for $17,213. His 2026 campaign included a seventh-place finish in the National Reining Breeders Classic Level 4 Open worth $21,500 and a fifth-place finish in the NRHA Level 4 Open Derby for another $21,643.
The Morgans’ success, however, extends well beyond one standout champion.
Gunnabegreatagain (Gunnatrashya x Jills Remedy), bred and nominated by Samantha Tully, has accumulated $79,694 in NRHA LTE. With O’Rourke aboard, he earned $25,000 as a top-20 finisher in the 2025 NRHA Level 4 Open Futurity before returning in 2026 to win the Tamarack Ranch 4-Year-Old Stakes at the 6666 NRHA Derby® presented by Markel, earning $32,554. He also placed seventh in the 2026 100X Reining Classic 4-Year-Old Stakes for $12,509.
The Morgans also own Steeel Magnolia (Magnum Chic Dream x Dun It For Chex), bred and nominated by Cardinal Hill Training Center LLC, who has earned $4,958 in NRHA competition.
Fittingly, several Morgan-owned horses contributed to the final push toward the million-dollar milestone at the 2026 All American Quarter Horse Congress.
Eight Oh Five (Gunnatrashya x Corona Tag), bred by Courtney Battison and nominated by LMJ Enterprises LLC, placed third in the All Star Reining Stakes Level 3 Open Futurity for $8,309 and seventh in the Level 4 for another $7,889, with Jack Daniels at the reins.
Trashy Little Girl (Gunnatrashya x Wimpy Little Girl), bred and nominated by Peter, also delivered for the Morgans at Congress with Nimroid Vannietvelt aboard, placing fifth in the All Star Reining Stakes Level 3 Open Derby for $3,972 while winning both the Level 2 and Level 1 divisions, each worth $6,620.
Vannietvelt also piloted Morgan-owned Alittlebittrashy to a fifth-place finish in the Level 1 for $856 and an 11th-place finish in the Level 2 for $864, helping push the Morgans across the seven-figure threshold.
While the million-dollar distinction recognizes success in the show pen, the Morgans’ involvement in reining also reaches into their breeding program. One of its cornerstones is Wimpy Little Girl (Wimpys Little Step x Dee Cee), bred and nominated by Michael Foxx. Owned by the Morgans since 2014, the mare has become an important foundation for their program and represents the long-term investment in horses and bloodlines behind their competitive success.
From developing a breeding program to owning horses competing at the highest levels of the sport, Peter and Courtney Morgan have built their million-dollar achievement across more than a decade of involvement in reining.
With the earnings added at the 2026 All American Quarter Horse Congress, Peter and Courtney Morgan officially join the distinguished ranks of NRHA Million Dollar Owners.
