Americasnexttopgun has spent his career living up to his name. First, the stallion known as “Maverick” established himself as one of reining’s elite competitors, earning more than $425,000 in the show pen. Now, the next generation has added another milestone to his résumé: Americasnexttopgun is officially an NRHA Million Dollar Sire.
The 2016 stallion, by Walla Walla Whiz and out of NRHA Hall of Fame inductee Americasnextgunmodel, is owned by Triple F Alliance. He was bred and nominated by Arcese Quarter Horses USA.
Before his offspring began making their own mark, Maverick built an impressive record of his own with NRHA $6 Million Rider Casey Deary in the saddle.
Among his career highlights are the 2020 National Reining Breeders Classic Level 4 Open Championship, worth $75,000, and the 2022 6666 NRHA Derby® presented by Markel Level 4 Open Championship, also earning $75,000. That same year, Americasnexttopgun and Deary finished third at The Run For A Million, adding $80,000 to the stallion’s earnings, and were the NRBC Level 4 Open Reserve Champions, earning another $45,000. Their success began on one of reining’s biggest stages, where they finished sixth in the Level 4 Open at the 2019 NRHA Futurity®, earning $42,310. Puno Performance Horses LLC and Jody Puno owned Maverick during his show career.
Now, Maverick’s offspring are building résumés of their own—and have collectively pushed their sire past the million-dollar mark.
Leading the way is Maverickbuzthetower, out of Chics Vintage Flare. Owned by Bosque Ranch Performance Horses LLC, bred by Spradling Unlimited LLC and nominated by Glenn Spradling, Maverickbuzthetower has accumulated $201,262 in NRHA LTE.

With Deary aboard, Maverickbuzthetower delivered his biggest performance to date at the 2025 NRHA Futurity, finishing as the Level 4 Open Reserve Champion and earning $130,000. Earlier that year, the pair finished sixth in the Level 4 Open at the 100X Reining Classic Invitational Futurity for $20,012. In 2026, Cade McCutcheon took the reins, guiding Maverickbuzthetower to sixth place in the Level 4 Open at the 100X Reining Classic 4-Year-Old Stakes and another $18,933.
CCR Theadvocate, out of Its Conquista Cash, has added $114,428 in NRHA LTE to Americasnexttopgun’s record. Owned by Ruth Shade and bred and nominated by Center Cross Ranch LLC, CCR Theadvocate found considerable success during the 2025 season with Julia Roshelli.

Their success continued at the All American Quarter Horse Congress, where they won the All Star Reining Stakes Futurity Level 2 Open for $12,500 and finished reserve in the Level 3 Open for $11,651. At the same Congress, they added a Level 3 Open Reserve Championship in the Congress Futurity for $11,053 and an eighth-place finish in the Level 4 Open worth another $6,375.

At the 2025 NRHA Futurity, the duo finished 13th in the Level 3 Open and earned $12,320 for previous owner Spring Creek Ranch LLC. Kiseljack later took over the reins, finishing 11th in the 2026 The Run For A Million Non Pro Reining Challenge and earning more than $4,000.
Another major contributor is HF The Topgun Chic, out of Wimpys Lil Tag. Owned by Stoney Russell and bred and nominated by Heritage Farms, HF The Topgun Chic has accumulated $74,532 in NRHA LTE.
Marcelo Almeida da Silva piloted the stallion to the Level 2 Open Reserve Championship at the 2025 NRHA Futurity, earning $42,500. The pair also finished 15th in the Level 4 Open, adding $25,000, along with nearly $5,000 from the Level 3 Futurity Challenge purse.
Rounding out Americasnexttopgun’s five highest-earning offspring is Danger Zone, out of Dainty Lil Step. Owned by Jody Puno and Puno Performance Horses, LLC, and bred and nominated by Brooke Wharton, Danger Zone has earned $67,854 in NRHA competition.
With Wyatt Deary aboard, Danger Zone won the Levels 2 and 3 Open at the 2026 100X Reining Classic 4-Year-Old Stakes, earning more than $34,000. The pair also claimed the Level 1 Open Championship at the 2026 NRHA Derby for $10,000 after winning Levels 1 and 2 Open at the 2026 NRBC 4-Year-Old Breeders Cup earlier in the season, where they earned $11,380.
For Americasnexttopgun, the Million Dollar Sire distinction adds another chapter to a pedigree already deeply connected to NRHA history. His dam, Americasnextgunmodel, was an NRHA Futurity Champion, Million Dollar Dam and NRHA Hall of Fame inductee, while his sire, Walla Walla Whiz, has established his own lasting influence on the reining industry.
From his own $425,893 career in the arena to the growing success of his offspring, “Maverick” has now crossed one of breeding’s most significant milestones—Americasnexttopgun is an NRHA Million Dollar Sire.
