The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) welcomes Tricked Out Spook to an elite group of breeding stallions as its newest Million Dollar Sire.
The 2010 stallion, by Spooks Gotta Gun and out of Rowdy Brinna, has built a legacy through offspring succeeding across nearly every level of NRHA competition. From major-event Open finalists to Non Pro champions and horses carrying new riders into the show pen, Tricked Out Spook’s progeny have now surpassed $1 million in NRHA Lifetime Earnings.
Bred by Tom McDowell and owned by Tricked Out Spook Partners, Tricked Out Spook earned $71,703 during his own NRHA career before making his mark as a sire.
Leading his offspring is Tricked My Ride, out of Xtra Voodoo Sailor. Bred by Susan Meyer, nominated by Heritage Farms, and owned by Anita Horn, Tricked My Ride has earned $145,231 in NRHA competition.
With Trevor Dare aboard, Tricked My Ride earned a top-five finish in the Level 4 Open at the 2024 NRHA Futurity, collecting $81,034. The pair followed that performance with a Reserve World Championship in Junior Reining at the 2025 Markel AQHA World Championship Show. They also finished sixth at The Qualifier for The Run For A Million, earning $11,543, before marking a 222.5 at The Run For A Million and adding another $6,500 to the horse’s earnings.

A Smalltown Trick, out of A Smalltown Gal, is Tricked Out Spook’s second-highest earner with $127,853 in NRHA LTE. Owned by Mary Cachat, bred by Mark Blackwell, and nominated by Tanya Jenkins, the gelding first made his mark at the highest level of Open competition.
Andrea Fappani piloted A Smalltown Trick to a top-10 finish in the Level 4 Open at the 2020 NRHA Futurity, earning $36,647 for then-owner Rancho Oso Rio LLC. Earlier that year, Fappani and the gelding claimed the Level 4 Open Championship at the Best of the West Reining Futurity for more than $20,000. A Smalltown Trick has continued his success with Cachat in the saddle, including Level 2, 3, and 4 Non Pro championships at the 2025 High Roller Reining Classic Derby worth more than $18,000.
That ability to succeed with different riders and at different stages of a career can also be seen in Slick Tricks, out of Too Spooked To Drive. Owned by Sara Linnes and bred and nominated by Cayce Bennett, the gelding has earned $69,247 in NRHA competition.
In 2022, Kaci O’Rourke and Slick Tricks finished third in the Level 4 Open at The Invitational during the Tulsa Reining Classic, earning $24,333, for owners at the time Clark Reining Horses LLC and Pond Hill Performance Horses. Today, the gelding competes in Rookie classes with Elizabeth Kaelin, extending his show career into a new arena.
Tight Genes, out of Joes Genes, has accumulated $59,557 in NRHA LTE. Owned by Diamond Dub Quarter Horses and bred and nominated by Tish Fappani, the gelding has found considerable success in Non Pro competition while owned by Tish and her husband Andrea.
The pair claimed the Level 4 Non Pro Championship at the 2025 100X Reining Classic Invitational Futurity, earning $13,099. In 2026, Fappani and Tight Genes finished sixth in the Level 4 Non Pro at the 6666 NRHA Derby presented by Markel and third in the Colston Paving 4-Year-Old Non Pro Stakes, earning more than $16,000 collectively from the two finishes.
Rounding out Tricked Out Spook’s five highest-earning offspring is Bay Juice, out of SGC Cita Mex Juice. Bred by Nino Cervantes and owned and nominated by Cervantes Performance Horses, the mare has earned $38,097 in NRHA competition.
Alejandro Ortiz Vasquez piloted Bay Juice to a fifth-place finish in the Level 3 Open at the 2026 National Reining Breeders Classic, earning $11,000. The pair later finished sixth in the Level 3 Open at the 2026 100X Reining Classic 4-Year-Old Stakes for nearly $9,000.
Together, those horses represent more than individual major-event performances. They illustrate the depth behind Tricked Out Spook’s Million Dollar Sire milestone: offspring capable of competing under leading Open professionals, carrying Non Pros to championships, and continuing successful careers with riders across NRHA’s competitive levels.
With his offspring now exceeding $1 million in NRHA Lifetime Earnings, Tricked Out Spook adds Million Dollar Sire to a legacy that began in the show pen and continues through each new generation carrying his name.
