The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) proudly welcomes Redhot Walla to an elite group of mares as the association’s newest Million Dollar Dam.
The 2011 mare, by Walla Walla Whiz and out of Roosters Redhot, was bred by Liz and Richard Willett and is owned by Ixtul Quarter Horses, LLC. Before building her legacy as a producer, Redhot Walla earned $74,765 in NRHA Lifetime Earnings (LTE) of her own.
Today, her offspring have carried that success forward, surpassing $1 million in combined NRHA LTE and establishing Redhot Walla among the sport’s most influential producing mares.
Leading her offspring is The Firemen (Inferno Sixty Six), whose $518,481 in NRHA LTE accounts for more than half of his dam’s million-dollar milestone. Owned by Peter and Courtney Morgan and bred and nominated by Tamarack Ranch LLC, The Firemen made history at the 2024 NRHA Futurity with NRHA Million Dollar Rider Kaci O’Rourke.

O’Rourke and The Firemen marked a 229 to capture both the Level 4 and Level 3 Open championships, earning $350,000 in the Level 4 and $70,000 in the Level 3. With the victory, O’Rourke became the first woman in NRHA history to win the Level 4 Open Futurity Championship.
The Firemen has continued to add to his record, finishing in the Top 10 at the 2026 National Reining Breeders Classic for $21,500 and in the Top Five of the Level 4 Open at the 2026 6666 NRHA Derby presented by Markel for $21,643.
Redhot Walla’s second-highest earner, TA Dunit Redhot (Pale Face Dunnit), has accumulated $147,193 in NRHA LTE. Owned by Shoreline One LLC, bred by Tamarack Ranch and nominated by Tim Anderson, TA Dunit Redhot and Addisyn Schmersal earned the 2024 NRBC Level 3 Non Pro Championship and Level 4 Non Pro Reserve Championship, collecting $38,000 between the two divisions. The pair also finished in the Top 10 of the Level 4 Non Pro at the 2021 NRHA Futurity, earning $22,117.
TR Dream About Me (Magnum Chic Dream) has earned $135,772 in NRHA competition. Owned by Steven Sandvig and bred and nominated by Tamarack Ranch LLC, the horse added more than $23,000 to that total at the 2024 NRHA Derby, where Nicole Renick Johnson piloted TR Dream About Me to the Level 2 Open Championship and a third-place finish in the Level 3 Open.
Rounding out Redhot Walla’s five highest-earning offspring are Redhot Vintage (Platinum Vintage), with $85,511 in NRHA LTE, and TR Hot Dream (Magnum Chic Dream), with $57,397. Redhot Vintage is owned by Sandy Vargo and was bred and nominated by Tamarack Ranch LLC, while TR Hot Dream is owned by Jesse Asmussen and was also bred and nominated by Tamarack Ranch LLC.

Perhaps most notable about Redhot Walla’s Million Dollar Dam achievement is the versatility represented throughout her produce record. Her five highest-earning offspring are by four different stallions — Inferno Sixty Six, Pale Face Dunnit, Magnum Chic Dream and Platinum Vintage — demonstrating her ability to produce successful reining horses across a variety of crosses.
From an NRHA Futurity Level 4 Open Champion and history-making performance to successful horses across multiple levels of major NRHA competition, Redhot Walla’s offspring have built a record defined by both depth and diversity.
With more than $1 million in offspring earnings, Redhot Walla now officially adds the title of NRHA Million Dollar Dam to her legacy.
