•Members of NRHA can participate in over 700 NRHA approved shows per year. These shows, national and international in scope, pay out over $9 million dollars in prizes with the top prize being $125,000 for the winner of the NRHA Futurity Open class.
•NRHA shows provide a standard selection of classes designed to provide a level of competition for everyone – from beginning green riders to the top professionals who ride in the Open classes.
•All NRHA shows have NRHA approved judges who have taken comprehensive training and passed rigorous testing before receiving their judge's certificate. This means that the consistency and fairness of judging is the same at every level of show, in every level of competition and in every part of the country and world.
•NRHA keeps accurate track of horse and rider earnings and this information is available to members only.
•NRHA supports and manages the Sire & Dam Program, making breedings to top stallions available either through the online auction or on a first come, first serve basis at a discount.
•NRHA has a separate, nonprofit organization, the Reining Horse Sports Foundation, which focuses on education, funding for the NRHA Hall of Fame, and in providing funds to its members if a crisis dictates.
•NRHA provides unique and comprehensive networking opportunities for members to connect with owners of our top horses and with the best trainers in the world.
•NRHA gives its members access to youth scholarship opportunities.
•NRHA operates a website for its members which carries current information about all aspects of the sport. Membership includes $10 of free lookups to the database every month.

Collegiate Judging Contest during the NRHA Futurity.
•NRHA features the National Reining Horse Youth Association program, giving its members access to youth scholarship opportunities.

•NRHA is organized into Affiliate Associations who run NRHA sanctioned shows. Riders compete in Affiliate Shows to qualify for the Affiliate Championships.

Since 1980, the NRHA Reiner magazine has been the authority on all things “Reining.” The Reiner is the official publication of the National Reining Horse Association and as such covers all aspects of the association’s activities – from local Affiliate events, to the prestigious NRHA Futurity and Derby, to worldwide international competitions.
